Ibadan Market shut down for Olubadan Coronation – Babaloja General

The Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji Asiwaju Yekeen Abass Oladapo, has extended his congratulations to Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Ibadanland on the occasion of the coronation of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunleyin.

In a statement issued in Ibadan, Alhaji Asiwaju Yekeen Abass Oladapo announced that markets in Ibadanland will be closed tomorrow between 7am and 2pm in honour of the new Olubadan. He stated that the market closure is a mark of respect for the first-class monarch and will also ensure the free flow of traffic.

All market traders and leaders are expected to attend the presentation of the Instrument of office by Governor Seyi Makinde at the Mapo Hall venue.
