Ibadan Markets to Close Until Noon on Friday in Tribute to Late Olubadan, Oba Olakulehin

The Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji Yekeen Abass, alongside market leaders in Ibadan, has announced the partial closure of markets across Ibadanland until 12 noon on Friday in honour of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin

According to Alhaji Abass, the markets will remain shut from 5 o’clock in the morning until midday as a mark of respect for the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Olakuleyin, who served the nation, Oyo State, and most notably, Ibadanland with dedication.

The Babaloja stated that traders and artisans in Ibadan will always remember the late monarch for fostering peace and ensuring a conducive environment for commerce in the ancient city.

Alhaji Yekeen Abass urged market leaders across Ibadanland to ensure strict adherence to the directive in their respective markets.

He also extended his condolences, wishing the departed monarch eternal rest and praying that God grants the royal family the strength to bear the loss.
