Hon. Kehinde Akande, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West local government, has on Friday donated a Hilux van to the local voluntary policing sector of the local government area, in order to enhance security.
In his address, the chairman called for the support of the citizens living in the local government to join hands with the voluntary group, in securing the nooks and crannies of the local government.
Hon. Kehinde Akande also used the opportunity to appreciate the executive governor of the state, ‘Seyi Makinde for the privilege to serve while also pledging to follow in the footstep of the performing governor of the state.
Meanwhile, the chairman also presented cash gifts to victims of fire accident at Imole-Falafia area of the local government, and urged the beneficiaries to use the cash gift wisely.
