Ibadan SouthEast Chairman, Legislators Hold Last Respect for Slain PDP Ward Councillor

The Chairman of the Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon Emmanuel Alawode and his colleagues who are legislators in the council chamber, have paid their last respects to slain councillor of Ward 10, Sulaimon Ariyibi.

Recall that few days prior to the state’s gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections, the deceased and two other people were murdered during a political rally in Ibadan.

As reported, the deceased was attacked and murdered in the Ile-Tuntun neighbourhood of Ibadan, while his wife and kids were present.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso while confirming the incident said: “We have received the sad report, and investigations are ongoing to unravel the situation that led to the development.”
