The three members of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC detained by the Oyo state police command have been released on bail.
The three men were detained on Sunday over the arrest of Fulani warlord, Wakili Isikilu that had been allegedly terrorizing the residents of Ibarapa land in Oyo State.
But, they have been released from the police custody at Iyaganku police station around 5.40pm.
Their release was sequel to the intervention of the Oyo State government and the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams.
The three detained OPC members were released in the presence of State Coordinator of Oodua People’s Congress in Oyo State, Comrade Rotimi Oguntunde a.k.a. Olumo, Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige and Opc Lawyer.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Police Command, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi in a telephone chat with newsmen on Tuesday said the men were granted bail on health grounds.
