Late Olubadan Olakunlehin, to Be Laid to Rest August 8

The burial rites for the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Frederick Akinloye Iyanda Owolabi Olakunlehin, have been released

The revered monarch, who passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the age of 90, will be laid to rest on Friday, August 8, following a week-long series of events in his honour.

According to a programme of events obtained by newsmen, the obsequies will commence on Monday, August 4, 2025, and run through Friday, August 8, 2025.
