Former Oyo State governor and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala has applauded the state governor, Mr Seyi Makinde on the judgement of National University Commission (NUC) giving away the governance of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to Oyo State.

Alao-Akala, who portrayed the NUC verdict as a welcome development, said he had been vindicated by the NUC as he started the process of getting the university solely for Oyo State.

The former governor stated that the final judgement of the governance tussle between the former two owner states, though long over due, had eventually ended the age long conflict that has plagued the institution which consequently resulted in a damaging effect on the educational pursuit of students of the institution.
