Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, earlier today took to his social media platforms to celebrate his deputy, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan FNSE on his 62nd birthday.
Commending Olaniyan for his contributions to the growth and development of the state, he wrote: “I join the good people of Oyo State to wish our Deputy Governor, His Excellency Rauf Olaniyan, a very happy birthday. Our prayer is that God continues to bless you and keep you in good health. Have a wonderful day!”
Born on 25th February 1960 into the family of late Pa Adeleke Olaniyan and Alhaja Sabiatu Olaniyan of Igboho in Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan is a Nigerian politician, civil engineer, and farmer.
He joined People Democratic Party as the running mate to Engr. Seyi Makinde for the 2019 Gubernatorial Election in Oyo State after serving at various offices for the Local government, State and Federal Government in Nigeria.For about three decades, he worked in the civil service of Oyo State for different administrations before retiring in 2011, as a Permanent Secretary in Oyo State civil service.
