Makinde Inaugurates Eruwa Polytechnic Governing Council

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde has inaugurated the Governing Council of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.

The Governor inaugurated the council during an event held at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office, State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

While inaugurating the newly constituted 10–man Governing Council of the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, Governor Makinde, represented by the Deputy Governor of the state, Barrister Bayo Lawal, said the state government carefully selected people of integrity who will add value to the institution, while adding that their major responsibility is to manage the affairs of the institution and promote its other objectives.

In his address, the State Commissioner, for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Abdul-Rahaman Abdul-Raheem, said that the present administration in Oyo State under the leadership of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, is fully committed to the provision of qualitative education in the state, despite the scarce resources, with other sectors of the state governance competing for attention.

In his acceptance speech the Chairman of the newly Inaugurated Council, Prof. Ojo Adebowale, commended the education policy of ‘Seyi Makinde–led administration, he however pledged that the governing council will discharge their statutory duties accordingly.

In his remarks, the Rector of the Institution, Dr Gbade Akinteye, who appreciated Governor ‘Seyi Makinde for Constituting the Governing Council of the institution, noted that the running of a higher institution is incomplete without the support of governing councils.

In the meantime, the programme had in attendance the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, the Head of Service, Alhaja Ololade Agboola, and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Ademola Ojo.
