Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, will today, Monday, November 24, 2025, present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the State House of Assembly.

This presentation marks the seventh budget proposal the governor has submitted since he assumed office in 2019.

Ahead of the budget presentation, the state government concluded a series of Stakeholders’ Consultative and Engagement Meetings across the seven geopolitical zones of the state, giving residents and community leaders the opportunity to express their expectations for the 2026 fiscal year.

The Executive Council, alongside Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, also wrapped up the Treasury Board Sessions earlier in the week, finalising the budget estimates ahead of Governor Makinde’s appearance before lawmakers.

The proposed budget is expected to highlight the administration’s priorities for the 2026 fiscal year, with a strong focus on inclusive governance and sustained development across the state.
