Shooting Stars returned to winning ways on Sunday, securing a convincing 2-0 win over local rivals Sunshine Stars in a thrilling South-West Derby.
Following a string of impressive results, the Ibadan-based team had suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Heartland FC in Owerri the previous weekend.
However, skipper Taofeek Malomo ended his goal drought in style, netting the opening goal early in the second half.
Forward Christian Pyagbara added a second goal late in the game, sealing a well-deserved victory for the Oluyole Warriors over the Akure Gunners.
With this result, shooting stars moved to fourth on the NPFL table.
