Report has it that the Oyo state governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has procured his expression of interest and nomination form ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial primaries in May, 2022.
Makinde who was in Abuja for few days last week was said to have obtained his form alongside the other free forms he purchased for the would-be consensus candidates for other elective positions in Oyo state, but decided not to make it public.
Recall the Governor while speaking at Government House, Agodi last week Friday said, “I have purchased two Senatorial forms (Oyo North and Oyo Central). You know we only have one serving senator.
“I purchased eleven forms for House of Representatives out of fourteen, you know we have four serving House of Representatives members.
“For state House of Assembly, I purchased 19 forms”, he stated.
However, Makinde is yet to declare his second term ambition leaving many guessing if he has presidential ambition.
Meanwhile, residents and citizens are waiting patiently for Makinde to announce his next political ambition before the April edition of his newsletter as he promised.
It has been reported in some quarters that Makinde may declare his second term ambition to party stakeholders, when the party concludes on the consensus arrangement, which started on Monday at Government House, Agodi.
