The Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde after commissioning the Primary Healthcare Centre in Aafin, today paid a visit to the Alaafin of Oyo, HRH Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.
The Governor seized the opportunity to disclose his plans for primary healthcare centres to the Kabiyesi. He stated that each ward should have a PHC and according to the primary healthcare law, have primary health care authority in each ward and Local Government to monitor the healthcare centres and the disbursement of funds.
He also assured the Kabiyesi of his security plans for the state and debunked the rumours concerning the placement of the mobile police squadron, which is placed strategically in the state.
The Alaafin in his response to Makinde, assured the Governor of his continued backing and loyalty.
He declared that there is no rift between himself and the Governor and encouraged the community to support and accept the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde.
