Elesin Oba Movie
The mixture of positive and negative reactions, kudos and criticism has surfaced online in respect to the newly released Netflix Yoruba cultural movie “Elesin Oba” which can be translated to “The King’s Horseman”.
Reactions which is not only on the general criticism of the movie but also on the role of ace Nollywood actor, Odunlade Adekola surfaced on the comment section of the Actors Page, when he posted a gram commending the effort of fellow casts in the movie.
Meanwhile, fans of Nigerian actor have given negative reviews has maintained that the movie is “Nonsense” and one of the “worst movie I’ve ever watched”. While some has described the movie as a well scripted symbolism of culture and actual life tradition.
Recall that Elesin Oba is a screen adaptation of Wole Soyinka’s Death and the King’s Horseman, Elesin Oba was directed by the late Biyi Bandele, who died in August.
The movie follows the true-life story of a King’s horseman (played by Odunlade Adekola), who, according to tradition, has to lay down his life to ensure the safe passage of the deceased King into the afterlife.
Odunlade Adekola took to Instagram to share a banner of Elesin Oba, giving kudo to all the cast.
