Operatives of the Oyo State Joint Security Task Force code-named Operation Burst earlier today apprehended a well-known political thug and his gang in Iseyin, the venue of the All Progressives Congress, APC primary election for Oyo North Senatorial District.

According to reports, the thug, popularly called Weere allegedly led his gang to attack a Honorable member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Shina Peller, who is also one of the candidates contesting for the Senatorial seat and to disrupt the voting process.

Unknown to the thugs, Hon Shina Peller was adequately prepared and the security forces swung into action arresting the thugs.

Meanwhile, political memorabilia of one of the political candidate of the Oyo APC was found in the vehicles used by the thugs

Recall that Weere had earlier this month being alleged to have masterminded the attack on some PMS boys after the state government’s commissioning of the Bus Terminals in Ibadan.
