Oyo Assembly Endorses Chairman, Commandant of Amotekun Corps

The Oyo State House of Assembly on Thursday endorsed the nomination of Brig Gen Ajibola Kunle Togun (rtd) and Col. Bisiriyu Olayinka Olayanju (rtd) as Chairman and Commander of Oyo State Security Network Agency code named “Amotekun”.

The approval came after the presentation of the report of the House Committee on Security and Strategy that screened the appointees last week Tuesday.

The report read by the Committee Chairman, Hon Akeem Obadara, Ibadan North West stated that the Chairman and Commander of Oyo State Amotekun Corps were appointable in view of their professional training and experience and the ability to answer questions posed to them adequately.

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin said that the appointment of the two persons we’re necessary to ensure that the coordination of actions and affairs of the security outfit in the state is entrusted in the hands of competent and qualified security personnel and experts.
