Oyo state house of assembly has extended its recess by one week.
The Assembly lawmakers adjourned for their annual recess on 27th August 2020 and were expected to resume plenary this Tuesday, before the news of the extension came to the fore.
While speaking on the extension of the recess, the chairman, Oyo state house of assembly parliamentary council, Honorable Ayo Fatokun, in a chat with Oyo Affairs correspondent, explained that the extension of the lawmakers’ short-break-off-work was a sequel to necessary machinery that the house wanted to put in motion towards achieving conducive atmosphere to make and amend laws when the lawmakers resume back to duties.
On his part, the House public relations officer, honorable Dele Adeola, disclosed to Oyo Affairs news that the house will resume plenary on Tuesday, 13th October 2020.
He added that parts of the bills the house will consider after its resumption is the 2021 State’s appropriation bill.
Oyo Affairs correspondent, gathered that the Oyo state house of assembly will in a couple of weeks roll out its legislative agenda for the last quarter of the year 2020.
