Oyo Assembly Member Oyeleke Announces Defection from APC to PDP

Honourable Member of the Oyo state house of Assembly representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa state constituency Hon. Simeon Oyeleke has dumped the All Progressives Congress for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

He officially declared his defection today, Wednesday, June 6, at Ajawa.

The event was well attended by notable leaders of the PDP in Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa local governments, respectively.

Hon. Oyeleke, who led a huge number of his followers into PDP, claimed in his speech that the lack of internal democracy in the APC and the unprecedented development strides of governor Seyi Makinde made him decamp.

With Hon. Oyeleke’s alignment, the PDP, which currently has the majority in the house of assembly with 26 members, now has 27 members in the house.
