Oyo College of Nursing Pays Acting Governor, Lawal Courtesy Visit, Requests Full Accreditation of Courses at Kishi Campus

The Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele (Kishi Campus) has sought state government’s assistance for accreditation of all its courses at Kishi Campus.

This request was made during the courtesy visit to the Oyo State Acting Governor, Barr. Adebayo Abdul-raheem Lawal and ably led by its Provost, Princess Gbojubola Owolabi.

In her remarks, Princess Owolabi appreciated the acting governor for his hospitality, adding that his undying political will would have a lasting impact on the development of Oyo State.

She said: “We are excited today. While we are planning to pay a courtesy visit to you as Deputy Governor, we received the development that you’re now the acting governor. On our part, we can say our request on accreditation would be granted sooner.

“The purpose of our visit is to seek the indulgence of current administration in a bid to secure accreditation for all our courses at Kishi Campus”, she added.

While responding to the delegates, the acting governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal applauded the Provost for her show of passion and commitment at ensuring that the school take off seamlessly.

According to him: “Apart from coming here, I am aware that she has met with many people to actualise this. On our part as government, we’ll address the issue and make contact with whoever is going to make it achievable in no distant time.”

He urged them on the need to make their desires on welfarism known to government for quick action.

“As government, we’d be responsive to the welfarism of your institution’s staff and also work on making the institution at Kishi Campus a full fledged college as opposed its current appendage state. We’ll give adequate support”, Lawal assured.
