Oyo Govt Announces Arrest of Five Terrorists After Igbeti Attack

The Oyo State government has revealed that no fewer than five suspected terrorists have been arrested over an attack on a security base in the Oke Ogun area of the state.

Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Recall that gunmen attacked the security base situated along Igbeti/Igboho Road.

It was learnt that a generator and motorcycle were carted away by the attackers during the attack which took place in the early hours of Sunday.

Oyelade disclosed that five suspected terrorists have been arrested.

He further disclosed that the Acting Governor, Mr Bayo Lawal, has visited the scene of the attack.

“Not less than five of the terrorists have been arrested in military uniforms. More arrests are expected to be made,” Oyelade said.
