Oyo Govt Gives Roadside Traders Along Airport Road Two-Week to Vacate

The Gov. Seyi Makinde led Oyo State government, has issued a two-week ultimatum to roadside traders in some parts of Ibadan.

The State government directed all the roadside traders and those selling in containers along Airport Road, Old Ife Road and Onipepeye areas of Ibadan to relocate their trades.

It said all the affected traders are to put an end to roadside trading on the axis within the period of two weeks.

The ultimatum expires on Monday, October 27, 2025, according to a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the governor, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

The statement was made available to newsmen Tuesday night.

The statement said, “The Oyo State Government has directed roadside traders and those selling in containers along Airport Road, Old Ife Road and Onipepeye areas of Ibadan to relocate their trades.
