Oyo Govt Opens Recruitment Portal for 7,500 Secondary School Teachers [See how to Apply]

The Oyo State Government has announced the recruitment of 7,500 teachers and 3,000 non-teaching staff to enhance the post-primary education sector. According to Pastor Akinade Alamu, Chairman of the Oyo State Post-Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), the recruitment exercise aims to build on the success of the 2021 exercise that employed 5,000 teachers.

Interested candidates can apply as the portal would only be open for two weeks. Pastor Alamu emphasized that merit-based employment is crucial for qualitative education and advised applicants to follow the guidelines strictly. The recruitment process includes online application, CBT examination, and oral interviews.

The Chairman commended Governor Seyi Makinde for approving the mass recruitment exercise and assured the public of a transparent and credible process, as mandated by the World Bank Global Partnership on Education (GPE).
