Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Seun Fakorede has collaborated with the German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD, to mentor postgraduate students who are Oyo indigenes, for eight weeks.
In a statement released on Monday from the Ministry of Youth and Sports development, the Bootcamp for the eight-week fellowship and mentorship programme is meant for Oyo state indigenes all over the world.
The statement quoted the commissioner as saying that the partnership would see facilitators from DAAD mentoring 100 postgraduate scholars on how to apply and get awarded for the DAAD Fellowship
It partly reads: “Applications for the fellowship is open to Oyo state indigenes home and abroad, who have currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Programme anywhere in the world, except Germany.
“The German Academic Exchange Service -DAAD, is the largest German support organisation in the field of international academic cooperation.
“Among other things, the benefits of the DAAD Fellowship cover full payment of expenses for the fellowship in Germany, monthly stipends, visa-free access to more than 26 countries during the fellowship, as well as post-DAAD Fellowship opportunities and benefits.”
Meanwhile, Hon. Fakorede has said that the timeframe for the application is open till February 10.
