Oyo Govt Prepares to Commemorate World Clean Up Day

Oyo State government through the ministry of environment, is planning to commemorate world clean up day in grand style this year.

OyoAffairs.net can confirm that the World Cleanup Day is an annual global social action program aimed at combating the global solid waste problem.

World Cleanup Day 2024. This year’s event takes place on Friday 20 September following it’s addition to the UN Calendar of International Days!

The Oyo state ministry of environment is having a two day event to commemorate world clean up day 2024.

The first day is a stakeholders engagement and public enlightenment event. This is slated to happen 9:00am on Friday, 20th September at the House of Chief, Secretariat Ibadan.

The second day is a community clean up exercise. This is also slated for Saturday, 21st September 2024.

The cleanup exercise is starting from Dugbe to Mokola (Assemble point is cocoa house) at 7:30 am.

Commemorating world clean up day is in line with Oyo state’s commitment to a clean and sustainable environment.
