Oyo Govt Presents Staff of Office, Beaded Crown to New Kajola Monarch

The Oyo State government has presented a staff of office and beaded crown to His Royal Majesty, Oba Najeemdeen Afolabi Osuolale Adesola Adelaja (Tukur II), the Gegun of Ayetoro-Oke Land.

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, who was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Joel Olaleye; delivered the keynote address and equally presented the beaded crown and staff of office to the monarch.

In his speech, the Executive Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Alhaji Salimonu Afolabi felicitated the sons and daughters of Ayetoro-Oke Land on the official coronation and presentation of the beaded crown and staff of office to HRM Oba Najeemdeen Afolabi Osuolale.

Afolabi, who described the occasion as one of the best feats to be attained by the ancient town and local government as a whole, further called on the community to ensure mutual cooperation and understanding with the monarch to ensure attainment of more efficient service delivery.

The council boss prayed to God Almighty to bless the monarch with sound health, knowledge, wisdom, and divine inspiration that would culminate in unity, love, progress, and peaceful coexistence among the indigents and aliens.

Meanwhile, the coronation which was held at Baptist Primary School, Ayetoro-Oke Land, Kajola Local Government was attended by representatives of the state government, the chairman of the local government, Alhaji Salimonu Afolabi, other public office holders, local government officials, Oke-Ogun traditional rulers, community’s indigents and well-wishers among others.
