Oyo NSCDC Deploys Over 1700 Personnel Ahead of Eid-el-Fitr Celebration

In preparation for the 2023 Eid-el-Fitr – the post Ramadan festival, the Oyo State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1705 personnel of the command to places of worship, market, recreation centres and highways to beef up security before, during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The State Commandant of the corps, Dr CC Adaralewa Micheal made this known while addressing the personnel of the corps on mode of operation during the holiday for the Eid-el-fitr celebration at the Command State Headquarters, Old NITEL Building, Agodi Ibadan.

Adaralewa charged the Tactical Units which include Anti-Vandal, Counter-Terrorism, Agro Ranger and Female Special Squad Unit to double their efforts in their quest to provide adequate security to the good people of Oyo State and to also ensure the adequate protection of critical national assets and infrastructures in the state during the celebration.

While assuring residents and members of the public of adequate protection of lives and property during the celebration, he urged them to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious acts or movement to Oyo NSCDC or sister agencies.

The NSCDC boss therefore, enjoined Muslim faithfuls to extend the teaching of giving, love and abstinence from sin learnt during Ramadan to their daily lives.
