Oyo State not Incurring New Debt, Bond still at Preliminary Phase – Taiwo Adisa

The Oyo State Government has declared that it is setting the pace for even the Federal Government in all sectors.

The Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa stated that all indicators reveal that Oyo State is at the forefront of development this time.

Mr Adisa asserted that the Seyi Makinde led administration’s response to COVID-19 has served as a template to other states and the measures employed to makes schools resume are being modelled in other states too.

While speaking on the reshuffling of cabinet, Mr Adisa disclosed that there was no cause for alarm as it was only to strengthen the winning team and make the administration stronger.

The Press Secretary also addressed the bond issue and emphasised that the projects earmarked for the bonds have not been initiated at all and that the bond is still at the preliminary phase. He said that nothing is official yet and debunked rumours that Oyo State is taking a loan.

Mr Taiwo Adisa who was a guest on Bembe Oro at Noble 107.1 FM, affirmed that no patient died in any of the isolation centres. He announced that the deaths recorded were not at the centres.

OyoAffairs correspondent who monitored the programme acknowledged Adisa’s statement that the Olodo isolation centre which is the biggest, is investigating the virus to find a possible cure. Adisa maintained that plans were underway to make the Adeoyo Hospital a teaching hospital.
