The Seyi Makinde-led administration in Oyo state has once again taken the lead role in the quest to build a digital economy through massive deployment in ICT.
According to the latest ranking at the 9th annual regular meeting of the National Council On Communications and Digital Economy chaired by the Honourable Minister for Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim, the pacesetters state has won awards in all the categories at 2021 National Council on Communications and Digital Economy Awards.
Mr. Bayo Akande, SSA to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde on ICT and the current acting General Manager, Oyo State Infrastructure Management and Control Agency (OYSIMCA), represented Oyo state government at the event to received the awards for all the categories won.
The awards include;
Best State in Digital Technology Human Capital Development
Best State in Digital Technology Infrastructure
Overall Best State in Digital Technology Development
Runner up – Best State in E-Government Implementation
