Oyo TESCOM to Distribute Appointment Letters by February 1



The Oyo state Teaching Service Commission has revealed that the recruitment process embarked on by the commission has reached a successful stage and as such, appointment letters will be available to successful candidates screened by the commission.

This was revealed in a statement made available to journalist by the Permanent Secretary of the commission; Mrs. Grace Oderinde in Ibadan, the state capital.

Mrs Oderinde said that the collection of appointment letters will commence from Monday, February 1, 2021 at selected zonal offices of the commission corresponding to candidate’s Local government adding that the 33 local government areas of the states are grouped into 10 zones and are employed in disseminating these appointment letters to successful candidates.

It would be noted that this recruitment process started by Governor Seyi Makinde, to employ five thousand (5000) teaching professionals commenced in February 2020 and was scheduled to finish much earlier but was affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 and glitch in bureaucratic processes will come to an end when candidates who passed the CBT examinations and scaled through the interview processes receive their appointment letters.

Congratulating the prospective Teachers, Mrs. Oderinde stated that the zones where the appointment letters will be disbursed are: Ibadan with four zones, Ogbomoso, Oyo, Eruwa, Iseyin, Saki and Kishi.

The Permanent secretary who wished the new teachers well enjoined them to be available to pick up their appointment letters at their respective zones and local government.

She further expressed her delight in the successful completion of the recruitment process adding that she cannot wait to see the entrant teachers delivering top notch services in schools in Oyo state.
