The Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA) have hit some roads in Ibadan with some engineers, to test the effectiveness of Cold Asphalt on deplorable roads.
Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, Chairman of OYSROMA made this known on Wednesday, stating that the development was part of the “operation-no-pothole” of the ‘Seyi Makinde’s administration.
He noted that they are doing their best to use the most effective techniques to repair all potholes on Oyo State’s roadways.
Addressing newsmen, the OYSROMA boss said the agency chose the potholes at Anfaani Roundabout, Ring Road as their area of test because the engineers showed how Cold Asphalt can be utilised to fix pothole problems on roadways.
“We will continue to implore residents of Oyo State to exercise patience as we are making sure we do the most effective jobs because unfavourable weather conditions can affect Asphalts and the pothole filling process”, Ogunlade stated.
