The National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has postponed its Southwest Zonal Congress and moved the date to Monday, April 12, 2021.
In an April 8, 2021 statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, the NWC also communicated that the next Congress will be held at Oshogbo, the capital of Osun state instead.
It should be noted that Oyo affairs reported on the 7th of April that the purpose of the now-postponed meeting was to resolve all current South-West issues and according to the press release, that still remains a priority.
In the statement, the NWC also commends the understanding, selflessness and unified stance PDP South West leaders and stakeholders have shown in this crucial time regarding the deliberation of issues in the zone and hope that can continue.
