PHOTOS: Makinde, Omoworare, Others Attend Prayer Session for Angela Folarin

Tributes have continued to pour in for late Chief Angela Folarin, wife of the three-term Oyo senator, Sen. Teslim Folarin, who died last Friday, at the age of 47.

Yesterday at the 3rd Day Special Prayers Session for late Barrister (Chief) Angela Nwaka Folarin, many political figures and notable dignitaries were present to pay their respects to the deceased.

Among those who graced the event on Sunday were Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s representatives, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North), Senator Jide Omoworare, former speaker and serving minority leader of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Asimiyu Alarape; Dr. Olusola Eruobodo, Hon. Dapo Lam Adesina, Chief Imam of Oyoland – Sheik Mashud AbdulGaniyy Adebayo; Sheik Mudathir Bada, Sheikh Taofeek Akeugbagold.

The 3rd Day Special Prayers Session held at Folarin House, Oluyole Estate Ibadan, was attended by political gladiators across parties, religious leaders, traditional leaders, family friends, and other well-wishers.

Governor Makinde’s representatives were his Personal Assistant 1, Alhaji Abdulakeem Abdulazeez; and Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs, Imam Abdulrasheed Wale Azeez.

Also in attendance were former house of assembly members, which included Rt. Hon. Kehinde Subair, Rt. Hon. Adigun Hammed Murphy, Hon. Akin Ali, Hon. D.A Lawal, Hon. Fatai Salaam, Hon. Sakiru Fajinmi, Hon. Abiodun Adegoke, Hon. Ibrahim Bolomope and others.

Former commissioners in attendance were Hon. Wasiu Dauda Azuzu, Hon. Deji Akande and Hon. Bimbo Adekambi.

Meanwhile, Prince Abass Aleshinloye led former council chairmen; Hon. Gbenga Opaleye led Prof. Adeolu Akande’s delegation; Alhaja Tajudeen Olanite and Hon. (Dr.) Joshua Oyebamiji led newly-elected executives of Oyo APC; former vice-chairman of Itesiwaju LGA, Hon. Kayode Adeniji led Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu’s delegation from Oke-Ogun; State Chairman of Motor Dealers Association of Nigeria (MODAN, Oyo State) – Alhaji Sulaimon Musbaudeen Maito; Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Senior Chief Akinade Fijabi, Aare Onibon Balogun Nureni Akanbi, Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan, Alhaji Abass Oloko, Hon. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, Hon. Saheed Fijabi, Alhaji Teslim Ajimobi, Alhaji Akeem Ajimobi, Alhaji Bashir Akanbi and among others.

Kola Amoo, Mogaji Abiodun Adebayo, Prince Lawal Akindele, Alhaji Ismaila Salami, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Jayeoba, Hon. Taiwo Lawal, Mogaji Ismaila Agbaje, Hon. Tunji Ajimobi, Engr. Kolawole Oke, and Hon. APC elders and gladiators who attended the special prayers session for departed Angela Folarin were; Chief MKO Olaoye, Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Alhaji Musbaudeen Adeleke, Alhaji Audu Marafa, Dr. Fola Akinosun, Chief Wasiu Ajimobi, Engr. Faozey Nurudeen, Engr. Yekeen Abolade, Hon. Asifu, Hon. Akeem Ila, Alhaji Alebiosu, Hon. Fatai Adesokan, Hon. Adediran Asifu, Alhaja Modinat Temitope among others. Women and youth wings of APC from all 33 LGAs were also represented while Hon. Oke Are Aina led former councillors on the platform of APC

Meanwhile, Senator Kola Balogun (Oyo South), wife and supporters also paid their condolence visit to the Oluyole residence of the three-term senator.

The deceased, wife of Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo Central), passed away in London on January 28 .

It was gathered that the 48-year old wife of the Oyo Central Senator, Teslim Folarin, died during her sleep.
