Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper of Oyo Lawmaker’s Sister in Ibadan


THE Oyo State Police Command has made an arrest in the ongoing investigation of the kidnap of Mrs Jumoke Babalola Oludele, a sister to a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Sunkanmi Babalola.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the arrest in a statement released on Friday, said 35-year-old Oludele, was arrested while returning from her shop by gunmen on Monday.

Fadeyi further affirmed that the suspect is currently being quizzed by members of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad (AKS) of the command.

He said, “The suspect is currently being quizzed to obtain useful information. Efforts are also been intensified to rescue the hostage and also arrest the culprits.”
