The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Agbotomokekere, has said that the Ramadan 1441 (2020) ended yesterday.
Though the Imam did not state reason for concluding that fasting ended yesterday.
Agbotomokekere who made the post on his Facebook account last night said: Eid Fitr: As Ramadan complete today Friday 22nd of May 2020 equivalent to Yaoma Jumuah 30th of Ramadan 1441 tomorrow Saturday 23rd of May 2020 is Shawal 1st 1441.” (Sic)
A top Muslim who confirmed Agbotomokekere’s statement said that they won’t join him in ending the fast.
