In a thrilling South West Derby, Shooting Stars FC secured a 2-0 victory over Remo Stars Sports Club on Sunday evening, breaking their streak of four wins and three draws against the Oluyole Warriors.
Christian Pyagbara’s two goals led the way, bringing his total to three in three games since joining mid-season.
The win extends Shooting Stars’ unbeaten run to six games, propelling them to 6th place in the standings with 40 points and a +5 goal difference after 25 matches. Their next challenge will be an away match against Niger Tornadoes in Kaduna on Friday.
With their recent form, Shooting Stars may still have a chance to qualify for continental competition if they can maintain their impressive performances.
