Governor Seyi Makinde has been lauded by stakeholders for patronizing local contractors in the development of critical infrastructure in the state.
Key among those praising the Makinde led administration are Construction Professionals Association and Local Content group.
The association also lauded Quickborn Nigeria Limited and Carboncor International Tech. Ltd for complimenting the efforts of the state governor in ensuring that the roads in Oyo State are motorable and without pot holes.
Both Quickborn Nigeria Limited and Carboncor International Tech. Ltd have embarked on patching of pot holes in the state to support the government.
Engr. Ademola Adewuyi, the Publicity Secretary of Professionals Association Local Content Group in a statement issued in Abuja said governor Makinde’s patronage of local contractors will go a long way in reducing capital flight, create job opportunities and promote local economy.
The association also appreciated Governor Makinde for investing in youth development and agriculture.
“Also we are aware of the huge investment in youth empowerment especially in Agric business through which he has been engaging thousands of youth, this is a good development that is worthy of emulation.” he said.
They also called on other Governors to emulate Engr. Seyi Makinde in patronizing local contractors for infrastructural and developmental projects that will aid accelerated development.
