….Calls on Arapaja to Accommodate Every PDP Member, Especially the Aggrieved
The Honourable representing Ibadan North West/South West in the Federal constituency, Rep Adedeji Stanley Olajide Odidi-Omo has congratulated the newly elected Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and Governor Makinde of Oyo State on the victory recorded at the just concluded national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In a statement made available to Oyoaffairs, the Honourable warmly rejoiced with Ambassador Arapaja and described his victory as necessary in a time when the Peoples Democratic Party needed to provide a united front to save Nigerians from the so-called agents of change.
Odidi-Omo called on the former southwest PDP Chairman to use his new position to foster peace and unity among every member of the party and bring together aggrieved members to settle any lingering disputes.
He said, “With this victory, it is time for peace and unity in PDP South and Oyo State PDP. It is time for Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja to continue what he is best known for, being an ambassador of peace and unity. I urge you to spread your arms wide to accommodate every member of this party, especially the aggrieved.
“Your victory in the just concluded Convention is a victory for the entire PDP family and us in the South, Oyo State especially.”
He also showered praises on Governor Makinde for his brilliant leadership acumen as seen in the historical feats witnessed in Oyo’s economy and the PDP family as a whole.
He said, “I especially congratulate Governor Seyi Makinde for his wisdom and efforts towards making this convention a success while serving as the Secretary of the Convention Committee. As a leader, you did well in making this convention one of the best in the history of our great party. We can also witness the tremendous difference you have made since you took over the mantle of leadership in Oyo state. As you continue to lead us, we pray more for grace for you to lead us to more successes.”
The Honourable also appreciated the former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola for his exemplary conduct after losing in the election adding that his behaviour showed that he was indeed an elder and a leader.
