Former students and proteges of the Rector of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Professor Kazeem Adebiyi, have surprised him with a mind blowing birthday gift – a Venza car.

Some of the students who are graduates of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso among whom are professors and associate professors, mentees and admirers, surprised Prof. Kazeem with a car gift, few minutes after he delivered his inaugural lecture at the institution.

Some of them testified, “Adebiyi is not the usual Nigerian lecturer, he is too kind for them not to honour him”.

It was gathered that close to a hundred of Adebiyi’s former students had contributed money to buy the Toyota SUV popularly called Venza.

A visibly surprised Adebiyi, who hadn’t removed his academic gown when he was presented the car key, could not contain his joy as he was asked to move towards the car.

Recall that Adebiyi was appointed rector by the administration of the Late Former Governor, Abiola Ajimobi on 25th March, 2019.
