Report reaching Oyoaffairs has confirmed that a lecturer at the Polytechnic of Ibadan identified as Okedara Emmanuel was on Monday morning shot during an attack by suspected armed robbers.

The suspected robbers were said to have stormed the quarters of the lecturers around staff club, North Campus of the institution around 12:30am.

Mr. Oke reportedly got shot at close range by suspected armed robbers during the attack.

It was confirmed that the suspected robbers only shot Mr. Okedara, who is a lecturer at the department of Biology, but there are unconfirmed reports of female students being raped.

As at the time of filing this report, Mr. Okedara Emmanuel is at the Intensive Care Unit of University College Hospital (UCH) receiving treatment.
