The Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has announced that he would not accept the chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.

Makinde made this known in Aba, Abia State while commissioning the Nwaobasi ring and the Osaa Okea –Umuakatawom roads, adding that he is fighting for issues that are fundamental to the peace and unity of Nigeria.

He further explained that the PDP can’t restructure Nigeria if it is not ready to restructure itself.

It will be recalled that there had been reports in the media that Makinde had on Thursday taken over as the Chairman of the PDP-GF, following the resignation of the current chairman, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
