Work to Commence as Makinde Approves Dualization Of 8.3km Ojurin-Olorunda-Abaa Road For N9.6bn

The executive Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, on Friday has approved the dualization of Akobo-Ojurin- Olorunda Abaa/Odogbo Barracks.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Joel Olaleye Ajagbe that Lagelu Local Government will execute a road project at a cost of N9.6 billion.

The 8.3 kilometre road will improve transportation for motorists and pedestrians in the area.

Governor Seyi Makinde had previously promised to award the contract for the project before the end of his first term in office.

The Permanent Secretary stated that this project is in line with the Governor’s commitment to serving the people of Oyo State.

The first phase of the project on the Basorun-Idi Ape-Akobo-Ojurin axis and the General Gas Flyover have already been completed by the Makinde administration.

Upon completion, the Akobo-Ojurin- Olorunda Abaa/Odogbo Barracks project will provide a good and accessible road for the people of Oyo State.
