Wife of Oyo Governor, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde has gifted women across the State food items and cash to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
The initiative aimed at alleviating financial burden many families face during the festive season was well-received by the beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude.
The event at the Presidential Lodge of the Oyo State Government House attracted hundreds of women across the 33 local government areas.
Mrs. Makinde emphasized importance of supporting one another, especially during challenging times, adding that the initiative was part of her effort to uplift women in the State.
Aside food stuff, cash gifts were also given to women to help them meet other pressing needs.
Some of the beneficiaries commended Mrs. Makinde for dedication to the welfare of women in the State, noting that such initiatives not only provided immediate relief for them but also inspire hope and resilience among the people.
