Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun and the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Prof. Musbaudeen Babatunde were among the 238 third batch of Oyo pilgrims who left Murtala International Airport, Lagos on Saturday evening and landed at the Abdul Azeez International Airport Medina in Saudi Arabia same day.
All pilgrims on arrival visited Prophet Muhammad’s Mosque in Medina.
Among the 238 pilgrims are Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Abdul Rahman Abdul Raheem, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, as well as the Head of Service, Alhaja Hamdalat Agboola.
Other members of the contingent are; Special Adviser to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde on Islamic Affairs Alhaji Abdul-Rasheed Abdul-Azeez, the Vice Chairman State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) Dr Ibrahim Adebolu, and the Board’s Secretary Alhaja Olanipekun.
