Oyo State PDP has officially welcomed Hon. Adeboyin Adeola, the Oyo North Senatorial Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC; into its fold in Oorelope Local Government Area of the state.
Adeboyin Adeola who is politically known as ‘IMOLE DE’ led thousands of her supporters on Wednesday to officially join the ruling PDP in the state.
She was warmly received by the Oyo North PDP Senatorial Chairman Chairman, Hon. Yusuf Yinusa Adekunle, PDP Chairman Oorelope Local Government, Alhaji Azeez Adeoti, Women leader, Mrs Adekunle Medina; and Hon. Oladoja Yaqub, Oorelope PDP youth leader.
While speaking, Adeboyin Adeola appreciated the efforts of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, Senator Hosea Agboola and other leaders across Oke Ogun Zone, Oyo North Senatorial District and the state in general.
She admonished her supporters to go back to their various wards to ensure the victory of ‘Seyi Makinde and Bayo Lawal in the 2023 general election.
In the meantime, leaders and stakeholders of the party present at the declaration were Alhaji Salam Alagbaje, Alhaji Yusuf Sarafadeen Aliwajud, Alhaji Adeniran Tajudeen, Mr Fatai Asipa, Mr Ade Isaiah PDP Vice Chairman Oorelope Local Government among others.
In their separate remarks, Alhaji Azeez Adeoti, Hon. Oladoja Yaqub and Hon. Yusuf Yinusa Adekunle commended Hon. Adeboyin Adeola for her decision to join the ruling party in the state.
They added that her coming to the PDP is a plus to the party in Oorelope Local Government and Oyo State in general.
Earlier, Adeboyin Adeola who was the only female senatorial aspirant under the platform of the APC for 2023 general elections, alleged that the APC primary election was characterised by irregularities and injustice, which negates democratic tenets, capable of rubbishing the integrity of the APC.
Adeola who has almost three decades of professional experience in finance, banking and management announced her defection following the inability of the party to address the issue.
She said having watched with keen interest, she decided to join the PDP owing to the sterling performance of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s developmental strides in Oke-Ogun.
