Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin’s Mother Becomes Iya’loja General of Ibarapaland

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has congratulated his Mother, High Chief Justina Ogundoyin on her installation as the Iya-Oloja-General of Ibarapaland.

Chief Mrs. Justina Ogundoyin is wife to the late philanthropist, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, and a Princess from the Anyakudo royal family lineage of Orlu Local Government in Imo State, who has identified herself with the people of Ibarapaland and of course, Oyo State.

Speaking with journalists at the event, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin described his mother as a rare gem, who is highly respected and associated with the people of Ibarapaland despite losing her husband (who is a great Ibarapa icon) twenty-nine years ago.

He said, “We lost our father very early but growing up with mum was interesting. The way She always keeps in touch with the Ogundoyin clans and the entire Ibarapaland is surprising.”

“Chief Tina Ogundoyin is appreciated for the love and effort she invests in people and their children. I congratulate her not only as a mother but also as a woman with a big heart, who accommodates and fights for her people all the time.”

“Chieftaincy recognition is a cultural way of appreciating her support to the people and communities. It is a good thing, she loves it, and we welcome it as a family.”

The speaker noted that the COVID-19 guideline was responsible for the low-key coronation, adding that the importance of the event is not in the jamboree but the genuineness of the people and the collective love demonstrated to the Ogundoyin’s family.
