Agidigbo FM Boss, Oriyomi Hamzat, Recognized for Humanitarian Service

The Chairman of Sure Etiquette Media Plus, Alhaji Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat of Agidigbo FM, has been honored with the International Humanitarian Service Award for his outstanding contributions to humanity through his humanitarian efforts.

The International Humanitarian Service Award is an annual ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates leaders or organizations in the global community who have shown exceptional dedication and contributions to the advancement of international human rights.

The award is given to recognize remarkable achievements by individuals or organizations that have been champions or defenders of human rights, in line with International Human Rights Law.

The event, held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, was a grand affair attended by individuals from various backgrounds who came together to witness the recognition of those fighting for the rights of the oppressed and marginalized.

A total of 25 individuals from different walks of life were presented with the Humanitarian Service Award. Other recipients included Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, among others.

Speaking at the event, the Director of Mission at International Human Rights Nigeria, Amb Dr. Duru Hezikiah, emphasized the importance of dialogue over conflicts in addressing insurgency. Dr. Duru urged everyone to lay down their arms and embrace peace, as only through peace can the world move forward.

Expressing his gratitude, Alhaji Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat, Chairman of Sure Etiquette Media Plus, stated that the award serves as a call to improve service and do more for those who are voiceless and underreported.

“It warms my heart to be singled out by International Human Rights among millions of people all the way from Ibadan. That local boy from Ibadan receives the International Service Award,” said Alhaji Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat. “This award is a testament that hard work can be appreciated and rewarded. I used to believe that awards like this were based on connections and knowing the right people. But today, I, Oriyomi Hamzat, that local Ibadan man, received an invitation from International Human Rights to be honored with an award in Abuja International Conference Centre.”

He concluded his address by expressing his gratitude to God for the strength to serve humanity and extended his appreciation to the staff at Agidigbo FM and all his supporters. “I give all the glory to God, the owner of the weak and the strong. I appreciate all of you, my Agidigbo people, my silent watchers who keep me in check, and all Nigerians who support our work. With God, we are a majority.”

The awardees were congratulated and encouraged not to rest on their laurels but to see the award as a call to further service and commitment to humanity.
