Corpse of Ibadan based farmer found 10 days after paying N1.65 ransom


An Ibadan based livestock farmer, Oluwole Agboola who was abducted in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Monday, December 28, 2020, has been found dead. Olakunle Agboola, a brother to the deceased who is also a journalist confirmed the killing of the farmer to Newsmen.

Agboola, who was abducted while working on his farm at Abaodo area in Olukitibi village in Akinyele Local Government Area of the state was abducted by six armed men dressed in military camouflage.
Reports reaching our correspondents revealed that the kidnappers collected N1.65 million as ransom from the family of the victim.

Olakunle Agboola made it known that his brother corpse was found 10 days after the kidnappers collected the ransom from his family.

In his words, “My brother, Wole Agboola, was killed after a huge ransome was paid and we later found his body inside the bush near Aba Odo yesterday at 6.0 clock, just a bit close to where he was abducted.”

However, a report from the Oyo state police command indicated that some persons who are connected to the abduction and killing of the Ibadan based farmer have been apprehended.
