APC Primary: Late Ajimobi’s Son, Idris Emerges as Consensus Candidate for Ibadan South West Constituency II

The son of the former Governor of Oyo State, Late Sen. Abiola Ajimobi and Aare Akogun Musulumi of Oyo State, Idris Abiola-Ajimobi has emerged as the All Progressives Congress, APC’s candidate for Ibadan South West State Constituency II Seat in the 2023 general elections.

He emerged as the consensus candidate of the party after his opponents at the primary for the State House of Assembly, stepped down to pave way for him as the party flag bearer at the 2023 general election.

Reacting to his victory, he said: “I will make the people proud, I will make my constituency proud and I will represent them at best as I can, against any contender from the opposition party.”

Similarly in a tweet on his twitter account, the husband of the daughter of Kano State Governor said, he looks forward for greater support during the 2023 general elections.

“I hereby express my profound gratitude to God, the leadership, delegates, and members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), for their support and trust in choosing me as the candidate for the election into the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan SouthWest Constituency.

“We did it and the journey has only begun. I look forward to even greater support as we go into the 2023 general elections”, he added.
