IBADAN – Stepping into a pivotal communications role, Badru Idris Oriyomi has been confirmed as the substantive State Publicity Secretary for Accord in Oyo State. The party announced the confirmation on Tuesday, tasking Oriyomi with leading its public outreach.
The confirmation, which took place on Tuesday, solidifies Oriyomi’s position within the party’s state executive. In a statement released following his confirmation, Oriyomi expressed his profound honour at the appointment, describing it as a “great responsibility” he embraces with “humility, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to serve.”
He characterised the Accord party as more than a political organisation but a “movement that champions oneness, progress, and people-centered governance.” Oriyomi emphasised the party’s core philosophy of inclusiveness and genuine service as the driving force behind his loyalty.
“My appointment as the State Publicity Secretary is not merely a personal achievement,” Oriyomi stated. “I see it as a call to higher service, an opportunity to communicate the values, goals, and aspirations of Accord in a manner that resonates with the everyday struggles and hopes of our people.”
