The Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) football team, Akede Bombers has emerged winner of the maiden edition of Oyo State RATTAWU Media Football Competition, hosted by the union’s NTA chapter.

Akede Bombers defeated hard fighting FRCN by a lone goal in a pulsating encounter played at the soccer field of the Polytechnic, Ibadan.

The team had earlier thrashed NTA 4-0 before defeating Agidigbo 2-1 to garner nine points in the competition.

FRCN scooped the silver medal with four points, NTA won bronze with 3 points while Agidigbo finished with a solitary point to place fourth on the log.

Meanwhile, it is the second time Akede Bombers would be winning gold in less than four months, having won the 2021 Oyo State SWAN 5-Aside Soccer competition in December.
